Tell us a bit about your business and what is your story: How did you get started and decide on what to sell?
Our main business is currently in the wholesales fashion industry, focused mainly on young muslim wear. We aim to become the most famous supplier and provide more business opportunity and flexibility to the young entrepreneurs.
My family has been running a similar business for the past 20 years and I have been in the industry for the 10 years. We are faced with lots of challenges when it comes to traditional business methods, until I started my own business. It is very obvious that we are entering the Online Business era. I knew we can't just keep doing business in the traditional way and that is when I started to explore online business.
I’ve tried selling many different products online such as fashion accessories, mobile accessories , DIY gift and more. As time goes by, I found that my expertise was in Muslim Wear. I felt that our product has much more demands than expected and I wish to provide more flexibility and convenience to consumers as well. That is why Azza Lamees was created.
How did you make your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
From the previous old online way, my first online sales were through forums (lowyat.net) which need to set a time and date to meet up with each other some place to make a deal or transaction. Now it is much more convenient in terms of making payment and arranging shipments all through our mobile and laptop.
We also sold in marketplace such as lelong.com.my and mudah.my to explore the online business world. Currently we are actively doing multi-channel selling
in few different marketplaces such as Zalora, Lazada and 11street. And most of the sales I get are coming from Zalora and Lazada.
Tell us about how EasyStore helps your business. What tools and apps do you use?
To make my brand even brighter in future, we always seek for more way to expose our brand to the public or market. By participating in these marketplaces is just to help cover our expenses and maintain revenue. I found EasyStore much early than expected (which I can say is around year 2011) From the first batch of EasyStore Flash Platform, until the latest version of EasyStore. During the explore of using EasyStore, we also face a lot of challenges. Mostly on the technical parts and platform stability in the previous version.
The latest version of EasyStore
really makes a lot of things easier in terms of managing product inventory, doing marketing, customer service, shipment and analytics. The exploration still continues.

What advice do you have for those who are new to ecommerce or planning to start selling online?
There is no perfect way of doing ecommerce business, but by doing it consistently, you may find what suits you and is the best way of doing ecommerce business. The best thing of doing ecommerce business is you do not actually need huge capital to start
. All you need is internet connection and a laptop. You also do not need to have tons of product selections to start selling. You can start selling even if you only have one product or services.
Actively participating in some talks or seminar will also boost your ecommerce knowledge. In the era of mobile, the platform that can provide your customer to place order or communicate through their mobile are also important. Social platform such as Facebook, Instagram, twitter and etc will also help your brand to become more exposed.
My personal advice to beginner online entrepreneurs out there is "Do not plan too much. The more you plan, the more fear you will have and fear is the main thing that holds you back"
